Bassist extraordinaire, composer, arranger, educator, curator, arts administrator: All these labels apply to CHRISTIAN MCBRIDE, one of the most important and prolific figures in the jazz world for the last 20 years. As a sideman, he has worked with the best of the best Freddie Hubbard, Sonny Rollins, J.J. Johnson, Ray Brown, Milt Jackson, McCoy Tyner, Roy Haynes, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and Pat Metheny. His Christian McBride Band has been described by writer Alan Leeds as "one of the most intoxicating, least predictable bands on the scene today." In the R&B world, McBride played with and arranged for Isaac Hayes, Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole, Lalah Hathaway and James Brown. In the pop/rock world, he's collaborated with Sting, Carly Simon, Don Henley and Bruce Hornsby. In the hop-hop/neo-soul world, he's worked with The Roots, D'Angelo and Queen Latifah. Other specialty projects have had him working closely with opera legend Kathleen Battle, bass virtuoso Edgar Meyer, the Shanghai Quartet and the Sonus Quartet.

2015's Concert for Haiti, a fundraiser for Edeyo Foundation, Lamp for Haiti and the Haitian Education and Leadership Program (HELP), features Steve Forbert who broke into the national music scene in 1978 with his debut album Alive on Arrival,following that up the following year with Jackrabbit Slim featuring the iconic "Romeo's Tune" and Bohio Music , composed of Riva Precil and Monvelyno Alexis presenting a seamless fusion of Racine/Roots, World Music, Jazz and African tones

Also performing will be Zing Experience fusing rock and Haitian Roots (Rasin) to create a soulful sound, with influences from artists as diverse as Boukman Eksperyans, Jimi Hendrix, and Bob Marley; Big Mamou, Zydeco, Cajun and country; The Cliff Notes, a Montclair area student band; Passing Notes, Montclair High School's choral a cappella group performing eclectic repertoire which in the past has included "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Autumn Leaves," "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You," "Float On," "Someone To Watch Over Me," "Lullaby," "Carry On My Wayward Son" and "Yesterday;" and Melissa Walker and Jazz House Kids: a collective of extremely talented swing jazz musicians from the Montclair area, led by internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist and
